Songs about rain

Welcome to my blog! I have been inspired by the writings of family and friends, and couldn't resist yet another way of keeping you all updated. Let's see how long this lasts.

In the meantime, dont forget to keep visiting www.myspace.com/jogillot, where you can hear my songs and get dates for upcoming gigs. You also have the chance to get updates, little and often, when you follow me on www.twitter.com/jo_gillot

My blog arrives to a backing track of torrential rain. It's dreary, but reminds me of when I used to live in Lancaster, which is nice. I moved back to my hometown of London about a month ago. It's going well, and I've sorted some gigs, started making merchandise, and am generally keeping up momentum. Busy feels good.
Current tasks in hand include:

  • Recording new songs, including one about rain, entitled Beats the Leaves

  • Making CD cases to put new songs in

  • Making flyers for upcoming gig on 26th Oct @ The Old Queen's Head, Islington

  • Sorting out my life

The last point will no doubt take a while, as I have still not fully unpacked my things, and so haven't really settled myself in London yet. I have always craved organisation; you only have to see how my eyes light up during a good window shopping sesh in Muji. However, achieving this organisation is turning out to be a right old task. The recording sessions have entangled my room in lots of leads.
